YURI HAYASHI, Principal
|
I am a native Angeleno.
I grew up in West Los Angeles and went to Brockton Elementary School, Webster Junior
High, and UniversityHigh
School. I
have a BA in History from UCLA and a Mater’s Degree in Educational
Administration from the University of
La Verne. I have worked for LAUSD since 1969, as a
teacher, mentor teacher, instructional advisor, assistant principal, and
principal. Walgrove is a very special place, with wonderful students,
parents, and staff. I am |

proud to be a
part of a neighborhood school whose positive reputation is growing and where
students are succeeding. Being a
principal isn’t always an easy job, but the rewards are reflected in the
smiling faces of my students each and every school day. When I’m not working at school, I enjoy
spending quality time at home in the Valley, with my husband (Vaughn Smith),
ten year-old son (Cameron), and our three dogs (Wiley, Stretch, and G.T.).
