The Orlantha Ambrose Kindergarten Yard The enclosed, landscaped Kindergarten Yard with its exciting play structure is open to the public after school and on weekends, and has become a popular hub where neighborhood families can play and network. The play-yard is dedicated to the memory of Orlantha Ambrose, a devoted and inspirational music teacher who was killed in the tragic Sri Lankan tsunami in December 2004. |

The Garden of Knowledge Walgrove Elementary’s center quad courtyard is being transformed into a completely renovated multi-use space designed by celebrated landscape architect, Jay Griffith. Funded in part by a prestigious city Community Beautification grant, the renovated quad will reflect the lively and creative nature of the Walgrove community.
