My name is Lisa Lai.  I am currently a kindergarten teacher at WalgroveElementary School.  This is my second year at Walgrove and I have enjoyed the experiences at this school.  I have 5 years of teaching experience made up of sectors in the private schools, substitute teaching, and also in public schools.

As a graduate in Pre-Veterinary Sciences from Cal Poly Pomona, my career goal shifted 

as I realized my heart was with educating children in the classrooms.  The shift was an easy one with the daily experience that I have with the large family from which I am from.  My family consists of 8 sisters and 12 nieces/nephews and counting!!  Children are a part of my everyday routine even outside of the classroom.  I enjoy the daily challenges of teaching children and seeing the knowledge gained attending school.
