Fay Whitemountain - Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Whitemountain graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.  She received a Teaching Credential from the Los Angeles Unified School District’s District Intern Program.  Before Walgrove she worked as an illustrator and in animation, and taught First Grade for ten years at Pio Pico Elementary School closer to downtown Los Angeles.

She believes that children learn best by following their passions and through the joy of creative and exploratory experiences.  Since coming to Walgrove, she has had the new experience of being a part of a strong parent-teacher community and likes it a lot. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, meditation, renovating her home and garden, and spending time with her  husband and cats.  She has traveled to: Egypt, Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, England, and Scotland.
