Week of October 18-22: Scholastic Book Week

Tuesday, October 12: Tuesday Early Dismissal.  School dismisses at 1:30pm.

Tuesday, October 19: Back to School Night, 5pm~7pm, Walgrove Campus.

Wednesday, October 20: Farmers' Market every Wednesday at Walgrove!!  2:00pm-4:00pm, Morningside Way entrance of Walgrove, $25/bag with $2 of every bag sold going to Walgrove.  Local, fresh, organic, in-season mixed produce delivered right to our doorstep!  To sign up for a bag and/or more information: csacalifornia.org.  For questions about food or to get more involved: Kali - info@csacalifornia.org or Sara - sara@csacalifornia.org.

LOOKING AHEAD

Sunday, October 24: Ralphs Points Community Program Day, 10am~2pm.  I need volunteers for another Ralphs Community Program Sign Up Day!  Because our last one was so successful and easy - we decided to do it again! We want to break 200. Ralphs is very supportive, as are our neighbors that shop there - but I need Walgrove parents to step up and volunteer to make it happen.  1 hour shifts. 2 people per shift.  Shoot me an email or call with times that you are available.  Thank you!  Lynn lynnjones310@gmail.com 310-279-3347

Friday, October 29: Halloween "Spooktacular" Parade, 1pm, Quad.

HELP WANTED

Calling All Bakers! -- We will need baked goods to sell during our Back to School Night (Tuesday, October 19, 2010).

Ralphs Points Community Program -- You will be receiving a Ralphs flyer in your children's folders this week. Please sign up for the Ralphs Community Program online or bring the hand-out with you next time you go to Ralphs. It will not change your rewards card in anyway. We only have 18 Walgrove families signed up - so even if you don't shop there at least show you're support by signing up. And you can ask friends, neighbors and family to sign up as well (andmake copies of the bar scan code for them). It doesn't matter which Ralphs - the money all goes to FOW.

We need Team Co-Chairs! - Consider volunteering as Co-Chair for the following:

    (1) Playground & Lunch Team

    (2) Physical Education Team
