Week of October 4-9: "Whale of a Sale" Drop-offs, 8:05am~8:45am daily, Morningside Way lot (just East of Walgrove). Please pull into the open driveway or park legally on the street and friendly Walgrove parents will help you unload your stuff! Clean out those closets, attics, garages, playrooms, etc., and help a worthy cause! Remember your donations are tax deductible! We are asking for 100% participation from each class and teachers. Any class who gives 100% participation (i.e., donates, helps to organize sale, works on day sale or helps at the bake sale) will get a special "party" after the sale!!
Tuesday,October 5: Tuesday Early Dismissal. School dismisses at 1:30pm.
Wednesday, October 6: Farmers' Market every Wednesday at Walgrove!! 2:00pm-4:00pm, Morningside Way entrance of Walgrove, $25/bag with $2 of every bag sold going to Walgrove. Local, fresh, organic, in-season mixed produce delivered right to our doorstep! To sign up for a bag and/or more information: csacalifornia.org. Saturday, October 16: "Friendraiser," 5:00pm-7:00pm, 1383 Appleton Way, RSVP: walgroovygatherings@gmail.com by October 11. This event is FREE and the first chance to sign up for Walgroovy events -- they fill up quickly! Drinks and appetizers, casual dress, adults only.
Friday, October 29: "Haunted Pumpkin Patch," 2:30pm-5:00pm, 1383 Appleton Way, $15/child ($10 each additional sibling), RSVP: walgroovygatherings@gmail.com. Mild scares, pumpkins, and treats.
HELP WANTED
"Whale of a Sale" volunteers needed! We raised $5,000 at this sale last year to support OUR CHILDREN! The more volunteers we have and the more donations we get, the more $$$! PLEASE EVERYONE SIGN UP FOR A JOB!
* Post "Whale of a Sale" yard sale announcements on Craigslist/Recycler/Peachhead and any other free postings
* Organize bake sale and lemonade stand for day of sale -- older kids to staff
* Donate/Loan: bags/boxes to pack purchases in, clothing racks and hangers for display, shade tents for face painting (Miss Biolatto donated her time to face-paint)
* Help hang signs (Thursday, 10/07)
* Help organize and sort (adult supervision for kids on kinder yard provided) Thursday & Friday (10/7 & 10/8), 2:30pm~5:00pm, Morningside Lot
* Saturday, October 9, Corner of Redwood Avenue & Morningside Way: Sign up for a two-hour shift!
6:00am~6:30am: Pick up coffee for volunteers
Purchase and hang balloons the morning of the sale to attract buyers
6:30am~8:00am: Help with set-up and display
8:00am~10:00am

12:00noon~2:00pm
2:00pm~3:30pm: Help with pick-up of leftover stuff
