Tuesday, November 29:

• Parent School Lunch Day, 12pm, Cafeteria Area. Parents will be invited to partake of the school lunch program. Lunches are $2.50 for adults. Contact: Emiko Kuwata (emkuwata@gmail.com). On the menu that day are:

                   • Vegetable Chow Mein

                   • Homestyle Wheat Bread

                   • Fresh Broccoli and Dip

• ZJ Boarding House ‘Give Back Tuesdays’ Holiday School Fundraiser, 3:00-7:00pm, 2619 Main St., Santa Monica. The holiday season has begun - which means so has the shopping! ZJ Boarding House is showing us what the season is really about - giving back and helping others. ZJ Boarding House has decided to donate 15% of sales every Tuesday from Nov. 29th - Dec. 20th. Just mention Walgrove at check-out and they will apply the donation to our school. Please tell anyone you know that might be interested in shopping at ZJ (surf, skate, snowboard, clothing, etc) - and tell them to mention Walgrove. Wednesday, November 30:

• Council Training, 8:05am, Room 19. Please join Ms. Kate, our Council Mentor, for a mini-tutorial on Council. You will learn more about the practice of Council and how to sit in and support classroom councils on a regular basis. You are also welcome in this tutorial if you cannot commit to a regular time but are willing to be involved on an occasional basis - or if you want to learn more about how to bring council into your home. • Farmers' Market, 2:00pm-4:00pm, Morningside Gate. $25/bag with $2 of every bag sold going to Walgrove. Friday, December 2:

• EARLY Dismissal for Parent Conferences, 1:50pm.
• Mystery Game in the library ends. All entries must be received in the library by today.
• Walgroovy Gathering: First Fridays on Abbot Kinney (Drop-Off Kids), 5:30-9:30pm, Roman Home. So you’ve been wanting to see what First Fridays is all about? Drop your kids off at the Roman’s Abbot Kinney neighborhood home where they will play, watch movies and eat dinner. Before you walk down to Abbot Kinney, watch the sunset from the Roman’s rooftop deck while sipping a cool beverage with Walgrove families. Your kids will be taken care of while you enjoy date night. Friday, December 2 - Saturday, December 3: Walgrove Fundraiser: Jewelry Sale, Friday - 3:00-6:00pm and Saturday – 1:00-5:00pm, 12822 Rose Avenue, Mar Vista, CA 90066. JANE KIFER – She’s taught your kids. She’s traveled the world. She studied fine Art. Her work appears in stores, on TV, and in magazines, and now, a WALGROVE FUNDRAISER. 30% of all sales will go directly to Friends of Walgrove to support class aides, school programs and all that goes into making Walgrove Elementary so amazing! Saturday, December 3:

• Community Day, 9am-12pm, Walgrove campus. Clean up classrooms, organize for teachers, work in the library and garden. Bring the kids, bring snacks. Great way to spend the day with the family and teach them to take care of OUR school. Contact: Francine Nellis (francine.nellis@me.com).
• Walgroovy Gathering: Kids Movie Night & Parents Night Out (Drop-Off Kids), 5:00-8:00pm, multiple locations. Drop your kids off for a party! You get three hours of babysitting, dinner and popcorn for your child, and loads of fun. Go out and have a great time! Go shop! Go eat! Go nowhere! We’ve got the kids. You have a choice of parties. Parties for girls, boys and a party for all. Choose the location that is best for you. Siblings can choose to go to the same or to different parties. $25/child. Saturday, December 10: Walgroovy Gathering: Ornament Decorating Party (Family), 5:00-10:00pm, Eyeler Home. Come share some winter holiday cheer with the Eyeler family. Decorate ornaments for your family. Enjoy a big dinner, dessert and meet some new friends! Let’s sit by the fire. $40/person.
