Rachel A. Porter - Upper SLD, Special Education Teacher

I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Masters and Credential in Special Education. I previously worked as a Resource teacher for Brentwood Science Magnet School for grades K-5. I believe that children learn best by example and constant support and patience. I believe that tomorrow will always be a better day; therefore, I encourage multiple changes to learn and grow. Since coming to Walgrove, I have experienced that learning is also family based. There is constant support from all areas of the staff to the parents. In my spare time, I love to cook. I adore watching and practicing cooking recipes from my favorite cooking and travel shows. I have traveled to Canada, across America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
