michelle boudreaux Free Community Lunch Program at Short Elementary

They are trying to get enough community children to support the Free Lunch program at Short Elementary. It's open to all children and it's free. If you can, please take advantage of this program. If they don't have enough children they will lose the program altogether! =(

For now through July 2, lunch takes place from 12:20 - 1:20.

From July 6 - July 30, lunch will be from 11 - 12.

Thanks to all who participated in this weekend's Community Day! Congratulate yourselves on a job well done. Classrooms looked and smelled LOADS better and the overall atmosphere was pretty darn joyous. It's not how we'd LIKE to plan our Saturday but people really seemed happy to be there.


It would be great if we could get this thing calendared for next year on a regular monthly basis, for example every 3rd Saturday of the month. That way it would not be quite so…

In terms of proceeds to the school, Walgrove made:

Just want to give a huge thank you to Amy Johnson for organizing and bringing such a great event to Walgrove and the community. Thank you so much for all your hardwork in making this event a reality and hope this becomes a regular event.
On top of that, thank you to Michelle Dean for making the Bake Sale for Haiti happen. There were so much tasty bake goods to be had.

Thank you Walgrove Community!



Yesterday, we loaded and filled 2 semi trucks full of electronic waste that will be recycled. It was an unbelievable amount of stuff! Our community has a lot more space in our garages today..



We had a steady flow of drop offs all day from 9am till well past 3pm. Our last TV drop was at 5pm! We had families drop off from neighboring schools as well: Beethoven, Ocean Charter, Canyon Charter and beyond. It felt great to be providing this service… Continue
